Atmospheric meeting and event facilities

 

Café: Kauppaneuvoksen Kahvila offers amazing event facilities. Located in the immediate vicinity of the café, are our homely chambers, parlors and cabinets. These rooms do honor to the Mustonen building in their decorations and interior design. Built in 1870 by commercial councelor (kauppaneuvos in finnish) Antti Juhana Mustonen, the building is now home to our arts and crafts association. Our café is also named after the aforementioned Mustonen. You can find portraits and old photographs depicting the history of family Mustonen and the building on our parlor walls.

You can book the premises easily by contacting the café directly. Below you can find more detailed information on the cabinets for rent as well as their pricing.

Accessibility to Mustonen building is available through our inner courtyard via ramp, that is suitable for walkers, baby carriages and wheel chairs. You can access our Taito Gallery via staircase facing Koskikatu, which has a chairlift installed.

 

Blue Chamber

The Blue Chamber is a bright and cozy room next to the café. This space is perfect for gatherings of around 12 people. The room has a wonderful view of the historic block; Taitokortteli.

You can order the meals you want in the Blue Chamber from the café’s own kitchen. You can get both sweet and savoury pastries according to your wishes.

The rent for the Blue Chamber is 20€/hour, 50€/3hours, or 100€ for the day on weekdays. The prices do not include catering, you can purchase pastries separately from the café.

For special occasions, the rent is 50€/hour which includes the necessary linens, tableware, and staff.

Opening hours: Mon-Fri 10am-5pm, and Saturday 10am-4pm. The chamber is also available for rent outside of opening hours with a separate agreement.

 

 

Red Cabinet

The Red Cabinet is an authentic small room which is perfect for gatherings of around 10 people.

 

 

You can order the meals you want in the Red Cabinet from the café’s own kitchen. You can get both sweet and savoury pastries according to your liking.

 

 

The rent for the Red Cabinet is 20€/hour, 50€/3hours, or 100€ for the day on weekdays. Mon-Fri 10am-5pm, and Saturday 10am-4pm.

The cabinet is available for rent outside of opening hours with a separate agreement, for 50€/hour. However, please keep in mind that we do not accept reservations for the Red Cabinet outside the opening hours on Saturdays.

 

White Cabinet

The White Cabinet is a beautiful and bright room that is suitable for various types of events. The room is perfect for gatherings of 25 to 30 people, with a view of the city square and the central park.

You can order the meals you want in the White Cabinet from the café’s own kitchen. You can get both sweet and savoury pastries according to your wishes.

The cabinet is available on weekdays from 10am to 5pm, and on Saturdays from 10am to 4pm. The rent of the room is 50€/hour with a minimum reservation of 3 hours. The price includes the necessary linens, tableware, and staff for the occasion.

The cabinet is also available for rent outside of opening hours with a separate agreement.

 

 

Anna’s Chamber

Anna’s Chamber is a bright room with an authentic feel. This space is perfect for gatherings of around 10 people.

The room is named after Anna, the daughter of the builder of the block; Antti Juhani Mustonen. This chamber overlooks the central park.

You can order the meals you want in Anna’s Chamber from the café’s own kitchen. You can get both sweet and savoury pastries according to your liking.

The rent for Anna’s Chamber is 20€/hour, 50€/3hours, or 100€ for the day on weekdays. The price does not include catering, you can purchase pastries separately from the café.

The cabinet is available for rent outside of opening hours for 50€/hour with staff at hand. However, please keep in mind that we do not accept reservations for Anna’s Chamber outside the opening hours on Saturdays.

 

 

Mustonen’s Cabinet

Mustonen’s Cabinet is an authentic ballroom that is perfect for gatherings of around 14 people. The cabinet has a balcony and is located on the second floor of our café.

 

 

You can order the meals you want in Mustonen’s Cabinet from the café’s own kitchen. You can get both sweet and savoury pastries according to your wishes.

The cabinet is equipped with a 55’’ LED TV which can be used by connecting with a laptop through the HDMI cable. Additionally, toilet facilities can be found outside of the room.

 

 

Mustonen’s Cabinet is available on weekdays from 10am to 5pm, and on Saturdays from 10am to 4pm. The rent for the cabinet is 20€/hour, 50€/3hours, or 120€ for the day. The price does not include catering, you can purchase pastries separately from the café.

For special occasions, the rent is 50€/hour which includes the necessary linens, tableware, and staff.

The cabinet is also available for rent outside the opening hours for 50€/hour with staff at hand.

 

Taito Gallery

The Taito Gallery is located in the old brick building of Taitokortteli. The space is suitable for various events and gatherings with a capacity of around 40 people.

The space is equipped with a 75’’ LED TV, a sound system, and a wireless AV system for computer use. Additionally, catering can be arranged from Kauppaneuvoksen Kahvila’s own kitchen.

 

 

Taito Gallery is available on weekdays from 10am to 5pm, and on Saturdays from 10am to 4pm. The rent of the space without catering is 30€/hour.

For special occasions, the rent is 60€/hour with a minimum reservation of 3 hours. The price includes the necessary linens, tableware, and staff for the occasion.

The gallery is also available for rent outside of opening hours with a separate agreement.
